Professor Annette Brooks-Rooney, General Manager
As a Chartered Psychologist, Annette has followed a career where her passionate interest in people and their possibilities for growth and development have been applied to improving management practice and academic thinking. Annette has made a name for herself as a deliverer of significant change and success for both individuals and businesses. She works exclusively with ambitious, focused and committed people, teams and companies. She has held senior management positions in the oil & gas, automotive, nuclear, construction and health services industries facilitating the management of change, transition and success. In all her roles she has acted as a facilitator for positive change and has delivered successful major change programmes in all the industries in which she has worked. She is expert in bringing together disparate groups of people to work collaboratively to create common outcomes and generate mutual benefits.

Dr Helge Nareid was educated at the University of Trondheim, Norway. He obtained his doctorate in Physics in 1992, specialising in optics.

He has been working in various fields in optics, including conventional and digital holography, optical imaging systems, optical metrology and computational analysis and modelling. He has also worked on Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technology, mainly applications in engine management and diagnostics for the automotive industry.

As well as his native Norway, Dr. Nareid has spent 2 years working in Japan, and he has now been working in the UK for more than 12 years.

Dr Nareid joined Offshore Marine Technology in March 2008 as Lead Engineer. He is in charge of the development of the acoustic technology, which involves theoretical and computational analysis as well as laboratory tests and experiments.

Mariusz Szczygiel is an electronic design engineer at OMT. He is responsible for high level electronic design, analogue and digital electronic circuit design, PCB layout design, embedded system design, software programming and problem solving.

Mariusz has been working for OMT since 1st September 2008. He has a strong background in electronic engineering and IT engineering, which includes electronic design and electronic prototyping as well as programming for PC and embedded systems.
