PIM testing
PIM is a type of distortion that occurs when two or more high-power RF signals are mixed at nonlinear couplings in an antenna system. These couplings can be in cables, connectors, antennas, or other components of the system. When the signals are mixed, new signals at different frequencies (intermodulation products) are produced that can interfere with useful signals and reduce the performance of the network.
PIM testing is essential to ensure that antenna networks are operating optimally. A good antenna system is linear, meaning that it does not introduce distortion or unwanted signals. PIM testing helps identify and eliminate sources of PIM
